Coach
Christopher Stowe
Mr. Stowe fell in love with speech and debate as a high school competitor at The Magnolia High School and has over 10 years experience in the activity. He fell so hard that he married his high school debate partner, Randi; the family was blessed with a baby girl in October 2013, and she serves as the team's mascot.
Mr. Stowe earned his bachelor's degree in Communication from Utah Valley University. He currently holds Texas Teaching Certification in Secondary Speech, English Language Arts, and History along with a Generalist certification from Early Childhood Education through 8th grade.
The 2014-2015 season is Mr. Stowe's 3rd year coaching at MHS. Mr. Stowe has led the team to numerous TFA and UIL State qualifiers, including both the Silver and Gold Gavel Speaker Award winners at the 2013 UIL Conference 4A CX State Tournament. Mr. Stowe has coached students to District Championships in CX Debate (2012, 2013), LD Debate (2012), Extemporaneous Speaking (2012, 2013) and Team Sweepstakes Champion & Runner-up (2012, 2013).
In 2014, Stowe was awarded the National Speech & Debate Association's Donus D. Roberts Quad Ruby Coach Award for coaching his students to their first 10,000 points.

Jacob Koshak
Koshak has competed and coached for a total of 9 years, competing and experiencing great success in LD and Policy in both H.S. and college. He has coached numerous TOC qualifiers, State finalists, and National (NSDA and NCFL) qualifiers, teaching a variety of critical (and traditional) arguments to his students. He has a Bachelor's degree in Communication and a minor in Education and will be receiving his Masters in Social Education.

Nick Glezman, President
Nick is a Senior and a three-time state qualifier to the Texas Forensic Association State Tournament competing in both Policy Debate and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. He was also a 2013 UIL State Qualifier in Policy Debate. Nick was a member of the only freshman Policy team to qualify to the TFA State Tournament. He is currently the team's overall NSDA points leader. |
John Thornton Lindsey, Veep
JT is a Junior and a 2014 Texas Forensic Association State Qualifier in both Policy Debate and Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking. He is also the 2014 District Champion in Informative Speaking and in CX Debate with his partner Mehlam. At the 2014 UIL 4A State CX Tournament the pair would reach the Octa-final round; JT was named the State Tournament's 2nd place speaker and recipient of the Silver Gavel. JT Placed 2nd in Informative Speaking at the UIL Region III-4A Meet and has qualified to the State tournament. |
Emily Schmidt, Secretary
Emily is a Junior and qualifier to both the 2014 TFA and UIL State Tournaments in Policy Debate. She and her partner Cortez earned Top-seed honors at the UIL State Tournament and advanced to the Quarter-final round. They became just the 2nd team to accomplish this feat. |
Michael Neves, Treasurer
Michael Neves is a Junior and a 2014 TFA State Qualifier in Policy Debate. He also qualified to the UIL Region III-4A tournament in Prose Interpretation. He currently serves as the team's resident Militant Feminist. |
Grant Hobson, Archivist
Oh, Grant. Innocent, kind, not-at-all rude, Grant. You see, the thing about our little Hobson is that he's quite indistinguishable from one of those squiggles you see on the edge of your vision, that move whenever you try to view them. Put simply, he skurks through life, and we love him for that. |
